16-Year-Old Affton Boy Reported Missing

(KTVI) - April Johnson Lowery reported on Affton Patch Facebook that her son, Kevon Powell, has been missing from Affton since July 23. This has been confirmed with St. Louis County Police Department, Affton/Southwest Precinct.

Powell is about 5'8" and weighs 140 pounds.

When both sons were diagnosed with a rare blood disorder, Kristin and Justin Akin found themselves living a three-year, nightmarish odyssey. They lost both sons eight months apart, but in the Akin's, a dream was born.

They founded the Matthew and Andrew Akin Foundation. Recently, Kristin Akin published “Love Trumps Grief,” the true story of the Akin's journey. Here, Kristin shares her goals for the future and what inspires her.

St. Louis County Police And Texas Roadhouse Team Up For Special Olympics

St. Louis County Police And Texas Roadhouse Team Up For Special Olympics

KIRKWOOD, MO. (KTVI) – Texas Roadhouse and the St. Louis County Police have teamed up to help local Special Olympics Missouri athletes.  A dinner will be held at the Texas Roadhouse on 1200 South Kirkwood Road in Kirkwood to raise money for the Special Olympics.  The dinner is slated for Wednesday, May 29th from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Police officers will be assisting the staff at Texas Roadhouse serving dinner to diners. 

Voluntary donation will be accepted and given to Special Olympics, which helps fund programs for over 16,000 athletes in the state of Missouri.

Zach was nominated for “Best Performance In A DVD Film – Young Actor” for his performance in the hit DVD film, “Golden Winter”.

High Ridge Woman Called Real Hero for Saving Driver in Arnold

Three people, including a High Ridge woman, who came to the aid of a driver who was having a seizure on Vogel Road were honored for their heroic actions by the Rock Community Fire Protection District Monday night.

Ron Harder, the district's spokesperson, presented each good Samaritan with a plaque for their service to the community at a ceremony at the district's headquarters Monday night.

The Gateway EITC Community Coalition is offering free tax help to those who qualify. Missing Oakville Teen Found After Six Days

The Oakville teen whose six-day runaway from home was shared by thousands of concerned people on Facebook has reunited with her family.

Alexis Diani, 15, was at a friend’s home in the Butler Hill subdivision when a parent saw her and tipped of Alexis’ family, said Alexis’ stepfather Ricky Fredrick. The family called police, who helped Alexis and her family come back together.
